Hollywood Actor Nicholas Cage has reportedly purchased the £5 million pound Midford Castle on the outskirts of Bath. The actor already owns a home in the city- a £4 million pound townhouse in the prestigious Circus, and yet is clearly such a fan of the area that just one holiday home was not enough!
Cage has frequently been spotted enjoying the local sights over the past few years and so it was no surprise when he decided to snap up a permanent residence here- initially choosing the world famous Georgian Circus as the location for his pied-a-terre.
However, Cage was unable to resist the lure of a second Bath based property when the highly unique castle at Midford came onto the market. The castle is built in the shape of the ace of clubs and boasts battlements, a gatehouse and towers, and is set in in 35 acres of parkland and 11 acres of woodland.
